DIAKRIT was founded in Laholm, Sweden with the conviction that one of the biggest financial decisions in peoples’ lives can and should be made easier, more informed and more engaging. DIAKRIT's launch of 3D floorplans towards the existing home resale market was a huge success and has become an industry standard throughout Scandinavia.
DIAKRIT opened a production office in Bangkok, Thailand.
DIAKRIT opened a production office in Beijing and continued its international expansion by entering Germany, Norway and Denmark.
DIAKRIT launched D-Furnish™, giving home searchers the opportunity to plan and furnish their future homes online.
DIAKRIT merged with their biggest rival, Matrix AB, and expanded its operations in Bangkok to include Help Desk, IT/R&D and Management. In 2008 the global real estate industry was impacted by the global financial crisis. Due to increased difficulty in selling real estate, there was a surge in demand for DIAKRIT's products and services. Thanks to the launch of D-Navigator™ and D-Configurator™, DIAKRIT helped revive an antiquated real estate industry with software that brings apartments and office spaces to life before they are even built. Today, D-Navigator™ and D-Configurator™ are among the top selling real estate softwares globally.
In Scandinavia, the public was demanding a more informative and inspirational experience when searching for homes online. Based on that demand, DIAKRIT established a professional photography network in Sweden, offering HD photography and HD Video for the existing home resale market.
DIAKRIT continued to innovate and launched D-Photo Styling™, a solution that allows the online searcher to modify and redecorate any kitchen or bathroom based on actual HD photos of homes for sale.
As a part of DIAKRIT’s expansion plan, two major acquisitions were made which led to DIAKRIT becoming the leading digital real estate service provider in Scandinavia: the first was the acquisition of Wizzplan, a Danish professional photography and floor plan service firm, and the second was the acquisition of Fotoringen AS, Norway’s fastest-growing and most sought-after supplier of real estate photography and visualization services.
DIAKRIT continued to expand the operational office in Bangkok by establishing an International Call Center and expanding its HR, Product Development and Marketing teams.
DIAKRIT started a new channel strategy and began partnering with leading property portals globally. DIAKRIT signed a strategic partnership with RentPath, parent company for ApartmentGuide.com and Rent.com, introducing high definition 2D floor plans, 3D floor plans and D-Furnish™ to the U.S. market.
This same year, new versions of D-Navigator™ and D-Furnish™ were released with patents pending on both.
DIAKRIT expanded and moved into a new office in Bangkok. Several strategic accounts were signed in the U.S., making DIAKRIT the leading provider of rich online content for the U.S. multifamily industry.
In January DIAKRIT launched D-Showroom™, a sophisticated solution specially designed to optimize the sales and marketing process of smaller new construction projects. Later that year DIAKRIT launched its new website to further strengthen its position as the global leader in digital real estate marketing. By November DIAKRIT successfully launched its VR-enabled 3D Panoramas that have become a complete game changer when it comes to creating ultra-realistic virtual content.
In February 11, DIAKRIT joined one of the world’s largest media and information services companies - News Corp Australia. DIAKRIT’s President & CEO, Fredrik Bergman, stated in a public letter: “To continue our leadership in this industry, we must not just keep up with what is happening, but continue to set the pace going forward. With today’s announcement, we will accomplish this independently, yet fully backed by News Corp. We see them as the right strategic partner because they believe in us, our values and our long-term vision, and they want to help us get there faster.”
DIAKRIT has grown rapidly since its humble beginnings back in 2001. Today the company employs over 450 employees globally and serves over 2,000 major real estate clients around the globe.
“Empowered with technological developments and digitization we continue to expand into new markets with new innovations that will improve and simplify the overall digital real estate experience. We help our clients shorten their sales cycles and enhance the end users’ ability to imagine and realize the properties of their dreams from the comfort of their homes. We see the future and we believe in it, and we are convinced that the future looks even better than anyone can imagine.” – Fredrik Bergman, President & CEO
