DIAKRIT today announced an agreement to buy its majority shareholding from News Corp Australia.
DIAKRIT will now be owned by its three original founders Fredrik Bergman (CEO), Dick Karlsson (Managing Director, Residential) and Martin Fritze (CTO), as well as Pontus Lindholm (Director, Sales Nordic), who will all continue to run the company together backed by a new smaller group of international investors, all of whom have vast experience and specialised skills in technology, international expansion and business development.
One of the new investors, Rickard Gardell, who is originally from Sweden but has a long history in the Australian finance sector and is the founder of the largest venture capital firm in Australia (Pacific Equity Partners) has expressed his excitement to be apart of DIAKRIT’s next chapter saying “I obviously wanted to take part in the opportunity to join the journey of a dominant Swedish company taking their business global. It’s been very exciting to follow DIAKRIT, especially in Australia where the demand for their products has been very high, and where they’ve succeeded in positioning themselves as a leading player in only two years time.”
Under the new ownership, DIAKRIT are looking forward to applying even greater learnings coupled with the latest technology from overseas to the Australian real estate market to create better buying and selling experiences.

Established in 2001, DIAKRIT entered the Australian market in 2016 and now offer a full suite of high-end digital visualization solutions including photography, interactive furnishing and decorating solutions, 360° VR tours, HD video and drone technology that shortens sales time, provides more relevant information to buyers and enhances the experience of buying, selling and renting real estate. The industry-first property marketing tools have been welcomed in Australia, where many buyers are still having to make one of the biggest financial decisions based on subpar photography and 2D Floorplans.
DIAKRIT will look to utilise the strategic support and business development knowledge of the new Investors and Directors who have vast experience in globalisation across the tech, real estate and finance industry’s to continue to meet the needs of the ever-changing and growing real estate industry.

The business offering, which has already been servicing Sweden’s largest real estate group for the last 6 years, is set to be introduced in Australia later this year.
